the views.
My husband and I stayed for only one night in
March at Xanadu while driving the Garden Route.
We were not booked ahead and wandered in hoping
to find accommodation. How lucky we were! Albert
being the perfect host he is, walked us through
the house and sat us on the beautiful patio
facing the Indian Ocean and stunning grounds. He
then asked us if we'd like something to drink
and of course we said yes. He proceeded to open
a lovely South African white wine for us while
our luggage was being delivered to the penthouse
Neptune Suite. We sat and visited with Albert
(Tersia was away for a few days), while his
three beautiful, loving, and well behaved pure
white German Shepherds came to give us their
greeting."

"From
the moment you walk through the massive carved
wooden door and view the Indian Ocean through
the floor to ceiling windows you are totally
captivated. This was by far the most wonderful
accommodation in which we stayed during our
months visit to South Africa. The exquisite
furnishings, the art and the decor are only
surpassed by the spectacular beachfront location
and the outstanding hospitality and attention to
detail provided by Albert and Tersia ……… where
else would you be served a lovely breakfast on
different colourful crockery every morning. We
stayed in the Presidential suite which is
probably one of the most outstanding bedrooms we
have stayed in anywhere in the world. (the
bathroom is bigger than most large bedrooms).
All the bedroom suites we saw were super but the
Presidential Suite is something else.
If you intend to stop in Wilderness during your
trip along the Garden Route please ensure that
you stay in Xanadu for at least 2 or 3 nights as
you will find plenty to do."
